Monday night, the West Hollywood City Council approved plans for the 2017 West Hollywood Halloween Carnival to take place on Tuesday, October 31st.
Second only to LA Pride! in its economic benefit to the City, Halloween typically brings hundreds of thousands of people to Santa Monica Boulevard regardless of what day of the week the holiday falls on.
Two changes are in store for this year’s event.
While residential parking regulations have been waived in the past, for 2017, parking meters will also not be enforced after 6 PM Citywide…so grab one as soon as you can!
Second, the festival is scheduled to end a half-hour earlier at 10:30 PM. The City’s reasoning? “We are encouraging both earlier crowd dissi”pation from the street as well as providing an opportunity for Carnaval guests to enjoy events in other areas of the city, such as those at businesses along Sunset Blvd.”
More likely, people will head into the clubs when the street festival ends and the crowds are cleared, so buy those wristbands in advance! Micky’s presage tickets can be had for under $20, but prices go up as the event gets closer!
