Reality TV star and entrepreneur Lisa Vanderpump has worked a miracle on the corner of Santa Monica and Robertson, turning the former Tacos Tacos, Kachina and Java Detour location into PUMP, a successful restaurant nightlife spot for gays and Reality TV tourists.

After teasing us in Vanderpump Rules Season 4 by leasing the former Chi Chi LaRue’s location and again in Season 5 by asking the easy-on-the-eyes cast members Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval to partner with the launch of a bar called “Tom Tom’s”, it looks like Vanderpump is ready to spread her magic along what has historically been a difficult stretch of Santa Monica Boulevard.

According to City applications, the working name of the new business will be Pinky’s–not Tom Tom’s–following in suit with PUMP’s Pinky Happy Hour, named after Vanderpump’s celebrity pup.

Construction began earlier this month, and is still underway. However, last night, the future venue was being filmed for its close up as part of Vanderpump Rules Season Six.

SUR bartender/cast member Jax Taylor congratulated Schwartz and Sandoval on “the next step” via Twitter.

While over on Instagram, Scheana shared a shot of “the girls” celebrating inside the new venue.

Meanwhile, filming for Season Six was wrapping up down the street at PUMP, where one could see wannabe Reality extras had heard an online buzz and came dressed to the nines.

Pinky’s is one of three venues slated for the stretch of Santa Monica Boulevard between Mother Lode and Koontz Hardware. Skynny Kitchen owner Matt Flinn is revisioning the venue as “Beaches”, an everyman’s tropical-themed bar set to open in the next couple months, and David Cooley is rumored to finally be starting construction work on Bottega Louie this week or next. It will be interesting to see if the powerhouses of Cooley and Vanderpump can carry what has traditionally been a difficult block for businesses!
